Happy Birthday Destructive Chaos!

Posted under: Destructive Chaos

Destructive Chaos has offically turned 1 year old! Woo. Look how far it’s come! In the past year, I’ve changed the layout twice. It looked like a iMac in October, now it looks like.. a different site? I’ve rebuilt it to run 100% on my Windows Live Spaces account and MySQL. This change has freed up alot of space on my server.

The new layout is also CSS vailidated (I can not get valid xhtml because of live spaces). Destructive Chaos is also 56k friendly. Only loading 7 images on the page. The rest is CSS and text! I’ve also coded the layout so that all the big images are actualy very small in size.

I’ve also made the site search engine friendly with changing index.php?pag=name to name.html. The site is completely dynamic and changes on the fly. Everything from the Title to the copyright footer. The CSS file is also loaded into the database making it easy to change into a different layout easily without having to edit any files directly.

If you want me to link to your site, just mail me and I’ll be sure to add your wonderful site to my links!

Happy Birthday to DestructiveChaos.com. I think this is the first personal site I’ve ever had for more than 1 year!

Viruses Not A Problem?

Posted under: Computers and Internet
Are you afraid of getting viruses? No? You should be.

I just received a popup from my Norton Virus Scan/Protection basicly telling me: "You have been protected against 73139 viruses over the last 47 days.". What kind of sites have I been visiting? I never really thought about how important virus protection is untill I saw this warning. So next time you view a web site think of this: "What the hell are they putting on my computer?" and "How the heck am I going to fix this now…".

The irony of this being posted on DestructiveChaos.com

By the way, Networked-Hosting’s servers are back to normal. Some of our hardware bit the dust. No worries though, it’s all worked out.

Vista Declined! Ooh noos!

I bought a new computer for christmas as you all may know. It came with “A free upgrade to Windows Vista”. I registered so I could get my free upgrade.. guess what they told me, “Your code is wrong. We’re not sending you Vista”. I’m pretty sure I’m not getting Vista from them now  I sent them a rather long email on how they suck and should burn in hell. I paid $1000 for a brand new computer with what they call a ‘free upgrade’ - I like to call it, ‘A free pain in the ass’.

So, everyone, send me a copy of Vista!

New Windows Live Messenger released by the way.
